As part of the growth, we are looking for a Contract, Legal & Insurance Manager to support a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. In this role, you will be responsible for contract management and legal oversight within an EPCM project finance structure.
key responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of contracts related to the construction of the BESS project
- Manage insurance matters and provide training to relevant stakeholders
- Negotiate and draft contracts, amendments, and other legal documents
- Handle contractor claims and disputes in close collaboration with the DDA team
- Ensure corporate governance compliance, including adherence to shareholder agreements and Delegation of Authority (DOA) requirements
- Maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and legal advisors
- Liaise with the Legal Department and external advisors for specialised support
- Report to the Senior Legal Manager on progress, risks, and legal issues
qualification
- Master's degree in Law
- Proven experience in contract management or legal advisory roles, ideally in infrastructure or construction projects
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Familiarity with insurance and risk management in construction projects is an asset
- Ability to work independently while ensuring alignment with internal teams
- Fluency in English, Dutch, and French (spoken and written)
