As a Project Engineer, your objective will be to prepare, implement and validate major new projects and process improvements to increase plant capacity and efficiency, improve product quality and environmental, health and safety conditions.
The projects concerned are defined in CAPEX plans, annual management programs, etc. Most projects are worth between 0.2 and 2 million euros.
You manage the projects assigned to you from A to Z, and you may manage several of them simultaneously.
The main tasks for each of these projects/processes are as follows:
- Project preparation: project definition (scope, functional requirements), market study of available technologies, detailed engineering, definition of contractor(s), definition of budget, administration of project approval.
- Project execution: selection of contractor(s), purchase of necessary equipment, monitoring and/or supervision of contractors, budget monitoring and control, managing qualitative aspects of the project, managing safety and environmental aspects of the project, managing project start-up.
- Project closure: prepare technical files for new projects (validation, safety, operating procedures), ensure that “As built” files are available, guarantee the necessary training for the people involved.
