-
security
Access to services that involve the collection of personal data takes place in a secure environment using protocols to protect the information communicated. The secure server establishes a connection so that the information is sent encrypted. This ensures that the transferred content is intelligible only to the Randstad Group client computer and server. The Visitor/User can see they are in a secure environment by checking whether the URL starts with https (the "s" standing for "Secure"). In most browsers, a locked padlock also appears in the status bar. This guarantees that the Visitor/User is communicating their data to a Randstad Group server and not to a third party attempting to mimic one of our servers.

The laws of Belgium apply to the access to, use and operation of our websites, the terms of use, our services and all disputes that (may) relate to these. The Dutch-speaking chambers of the courts of Brussels, Brussels division, are competent to hear any such disputes arising therefrom.

technologies
We may use innovative HR technologies to provide you with the best possible service at all times. We are committed to the ethical and responsible use of innovative HR technologies (you can read our AI principles here). Randstad does not use these technologies as a substitute for humans or human interaction in any part of its processes. Instead, our use of HR technologies is intended to make interactions with clients and candidates more personal, relevant and meaningful.
We strive to involve human beings whenever we make decisions that significantly impact you. If, in exceptional cases, we were to make such decisions based on a fully automated process (i.e. without any human involvement), we will only do so where this is permitted by law and after having notified you.
To ensure all candidates are treated fairly, we take steps to avoid bias where we use HR technologies. For example:
We regularly test the output generated by these technologies to identify potential unfair bias.
We regularly obtain expert advice to continuously improve the way in which we identify and remove bias.
Both our consultants and our search and match algorithms are thoroughly trained and always work together.App
You are free to use our App to make use of our services even more efficiently. Please refer to the terms of use for the App, which can be found in the App itself.

We treat your personal data with the utmost respect. You can read our Privacy Statement here. -
training
You can also attend a range of training courses offered by our partners through us. If you decide to sign up for this training, you will be subject to the terms of use of our partners. applications
You can find our application procedure under each vacancy.
When you apply for a vacancy, your application is sent to the office responsible for the vacancy. The consultants will review your application and job mediation file. If you qualify, they will contact you to discuss the further steps in the application process. This application process may include telephone or face-to-face screening and testing, and we may also need to obtain references, if required. Our consultants will then discuss your CV with their client.
What happens next varies from client to client. In any case, our consultant will keep you informed; if the client does not wish to proceed with your application, you will also receive that feedback via the consultant. You too can stop the application process at any time.
We treat your personal data with the utmost respect. You can read our Privacy Statement here. -
job mediation services
As part of our job mediation services, we help you find a job and increase your chances in the labour market. As part of this, we will:
- Create your profile together and assess your suitability as a talent for the roles you could be considered for. We use tests (online personality tests, language tests, assessments etc.) and (online) reference checks for this purpose.
- Proactively present your profile, including your CV, to our clients.
- Include you in our databases of applicants, which we search to select suitable talents for the roles we recruit for for our customers or directly for us. We may use innovative HR systems to support you in an efficient and effective way.
- Send you vacancies and job offers you might be interested in by telephone, e-mail, text message or instant message. You can manage your contact details yourself via your online profile or via your consultant at your office.
- Boost your personal development and employability by offering you (short) training courses, coaching, workshops and so on, either at one of our companies or with a third party.
You will also receive job offers from us that are in line with your profile. Equipped with the right technology, our consultants are able to suggest suitable and sometimes unexpected vacancies that might offer you new career opportunities, as well as coaching or training and development opportunities.
We are committed to the ethical and responsible use of innovative HR technologies (you can read our AI principles here)
If you want to pause our job mediation services for a while, you can change your mediation state to passive in your file. This means that you can expect minimal services from us:
- your profile remains available so that you can update your data and apply for jobs;
- you will no longer be approached by our consultants, but your profile remains findable for your consultants in case they wish to contact you personally for an opportunity we believe fits you very well;
- your job alert remains active, unless you delete this.
If you want to delete your profile altogether, you can exercise your rights under the GDPR here.
We treat your personal data with the utmost respect. You can read our Privacy Statement here.
In certain circumstances, we can decide ourselves to change your state to passive, you are always informed about this. Some examples of when we can change a state ourselves:- we have not had any interactions with you for some time;
- your competences do not match with our offer of opportunities. It is best to discuss this with you consultant;
- we consider that we are no longer able to correctly work together.
-
outplacement
We can also help you with outplacement counselling, at your own request or at the request of your employer. The aim of this service is to get you back on the labour market through coaching and mentoring. Depending on the path you choose, you'll be offered workshops, a CV writing service, a job hunter service and so on. More information can be found on the Randstad RiseSmart website and in the applicable terms of use for this service.
-
career & talent development
We can also work on your career together through career coaching (at your own request) or through group or individual coaching (at your employer's request).
Career coaching: During conversations with your personal coach, you will learn about your strengths and weaknesses. Who are you? What are you capable of? What are you capable of? Together, we'll outline your ideal professional future, so you get to know more about yourself and make the right choices.
Coaching at the request of your employer: Taking a holistic approach, looking to the future and with a growth mindset, we focus on the organisation as a whole as well as each team and individual contributing to it. More information can be found on the Randstad RiseSmart website and in the applicable terms of use for this service. -
assessment & development
At our assessment and development centres, we help companies make informed choices when hiring or promoting talent. Employees gain insight into their strengths and points for development, allowing them to focus on their development. More information can be found on the Randstad RiseSmart website and in the applicable terms of use for this service.
-
employability
Regardless of whether you're still young or you're got plenty of experience, whether you're low or high-skilled, whether you've been looking for a job for a while or have only just started, finding a new job that suits you is not always easy. That's where Randstad Group coaches come in: they help jobseekers gain insight into themselves, draw up a custom roadmap and offer active and passive support. They also help companies build diverse and inclusive staffing policies.
More information can be found on the Randstad RiseSmart website.
